So, with regard to what I wrote the other day in 'Epiphany,' I've decided to do a complete tech-refresh of the main machines on The Dawg House network.

First and foremost, BigDawg will be replaced with TopDawg as my main machine. Once that's done, BigDawg's hardware will become the new web server. And after that's done, the existing web server will get pulled and reconfigured into the case that's currently my WinMe machine (for all those old games that nobody plays anymore that I have tons of) and the WinMe machine's hardware will migrate into the web server's case - this'll get rid of a box out from under my desk. The current web server hardware, once reconfigured, will replace my mom's current machine and offer her approximately a 200% upgrade in system capability.

I also just ordered some DDR2-400 (PC3200) RAM to max out BigDawg and Anubis, which should speed things up a tad for web services as well as her games. Since Anubis's mobo is pretty close to maxxed out for the CPU (without flashing the BIOS to find out if it'll support a hotter CPU), the next upgrade for it will require a complete upgrade.

Once all the gear shows up for TopDawg, I should be able to being this endeavour by the weekend hopefully. If not - maybe next weekend.
